
Background
Neil Palmer has been involved in music for the last 14 years, starting in early high school on bass guitar where he worked his way up to attaining Dux for Solo Performance in Year 12. After high school he studied a Certificate IV in music, a Bachelor of Music and First Class Honours all in jazz performance.
Neil has been involved in many different musical endeavours such as: popular music covers for functions and weddings; jazz groups like the Ben Martin Trio; local musical productions like Cats or Mary Poppins; funk band Local Revolution who have performed at local and interstate gigs; and progressive rock band Dyssidia which have also played locally and interstate. During that time Neil has been involved in teaching institutions and schools around Adelaide.
Dyssidia have shared the stage with a range of Australian and international acts such as:
Caligula’s Horse, Ne Obliviscaris, Psycroptic, Be’lakor, Plini, Voyager, and James Norbert Ivanyi. (Australia)
